midsummer garden

The Bee Balm, Fireweed, Spiderwort, and Rock Soapwort are in full bloom. The Big Blue Stem and sage are getting tall.

The strawberry patch is about 10 x 3 and the strawberries are a mix of June Bearing and Everbearing strawberries. We harvested about a half pint with many more to harvest in the future.

This is the first time in three years that the Milkweed has flowered. There is a large Monarch caterpillar that has been feeding on the Milkweed.

minneapolis staycation

A while back we took a "staycation" in Minneapolis. We biked the trails at Fort Snelling State Park and photographed the historic veterans home buildings. The bike trail starts at Minnehaha Park, Minneapolis.
